Gym Procedures Regarding Coronavirus
New procedures will be as follows until further notice:
Lobby may or may not be open for parent viewing of classes during different times of the season depending on local severity of the virus. As of writing, we are currently limiting the lobby to 1 spectator per family. If you have any symptoms listed (on signage) related to Coronavirus, please do not enter the building. A doctor’s note may be required to resume participation if a fever was a symptom.
Masks and social distancing are encouraged in the lobby (when open). Masks for participants in the gym will be at parent discretion. Coaches will social distance whenever possible.
Temperature of ALL participants will be taken at the door before they can be admitted for classes. Any person watching in the lobby will also need to have temperature checked. Any temperature reaching 100.3 degrees will exclude child from classes for that week. Please DO NOT leave your child at the gym until their temperature is cleared.
The gym will be sanitized in between each class. The lobby will be sanitized and fogged at the end of each night.
The drinking fountain will remain unusable during this time. Please send child with a water bottle that has their name on it.
Please encourage your child to use the restroom prior to attending class.
Head coach will TEXT updates to your current phone number. This includes class cancellations due to the virus or weather. This is the most effective way to reach everyone in a timely manner. The message sent will include all parents for that class as a group text. If you feel the need to respond, please do so privately to the head coach that sent it. We will also post cancellations on our Facebook page. Please follow us there for other updates as well.
Please keep communication open if your child has an active case so we can take appropriate action discretely regarding other kids and individuals. We will not disclose who is active, but will need to let other parents know of the situation. We all have other people to protect!
These amendments are all subject to change. Please understand we are doing our best to continue offering this program through these ever-changing times and we all need to be flexible. Thank you for your continued support.
We will require that every parent sign our COVID Procedures & Liability Release Form stating that they agree to the above and that NKGA Inc. instructors and gymnasium will not be held liable for any coronavirus outbreak.
